She went to Harvard to take Education courses in order teach English. One night, a young man by the name of Jim Friedman who wrote songs for Judy Collins approached Susan and asked her if she would be interested in writing a song with him for Judy Collins who was making a record, of course, she said yes. The song can still be seen in a book with the title “Country Music’s Greatest Hits” but the song became the single of The Brandywyne Singers album called “Stop The World”. The name of the song is “When I Was Young”. Included in the anthology of “Country Music’s Greatest Hits” are songs written by John Denver, Chris Kristopherson and Judy Collins herself.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]Susan was soon asked to write another song for a movie that changed the Canadian Justice System. It was called “Surrender to the Sun” from the movie “Recommendation for Mercy”. It became the theme song of the Motion Picture which went worldwide. After that Joe Franklin asked her to be interviewed on his show. Charles Strauss, who was also on that segment listened to Susan’s song and gave her excellent advice as to go forward with her career.

One movie led to another, Chappell Music (Frank Military) signed her and helped her get in through doors she could not have otherwise. The artists at Chappell made Susan feel in awe, people like Carol Bear Sager, Melissa Manchester, Joan Jett, Etc. However Susan was hooked. She now knew that this was the only thing she wanted to do as her life’s work.

From there, Susan became a Chappell Music staff writer and had her songs exposed, winning the theme songs of eight motion pictures. She also became a Co-Producer of The NJ Net’s HALF TIME ENTERTAINMENT. People who sang the song “WE ARE ONE” were known names such as Richie Havens. This website includes but is not limited to the spectrum of Susan’s work in the music business.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_empty_space height=”65px”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
